I am EMDR Certified and a declared Consultant-in-Training with EMDRIA. As such, I am able to provide consultation to therapists seeking hours for certification or just wanting additional support. Per EMDRIA, 15 hours of the 20 required for certification can come from a CIT. I expect to be an Approved Consultant around April 2023. I do not offer groups at this time as, in my personal experience, groups, while cost effective, have ended up being about “doing the time” rather than environments where I got what I needed and could flourish and grow. That is not to say there aren’t models for group consultation that don’t achieve this, I just haven’t found one yet.

I was initially trained in EMDR in 2016 and have completed advanced trainings in EMDR with Attachment and Complex Trauma as well Addictions. I also have additional training and knowledge in IFS, attachment disorders and dissociation, to name a few, that I incorporate into my work as an EMDR clinician and consultant. Parts work, in particular, when coupled with EMDR, has elevated my ability to help my people in a way that I couldn’t have imagined, and I love sharing this knowledge. There are so many creative ways to incorporate different modalities and build on the strengths of each and I love exploring new ways to approach trauma and my work with people.

As a consultant, I do not view myself as the expert, know-all-be-all, and instead believe that this process is meant to be and works best when it is collaborative. While I may bring experience, knowledge, a perspective that you may not have, and have a million and one ideas (and if I run through those, we will find more)… what is most important is that you get what you need through this process. If you are looking for the person who will give you the answer or tell you exactly what to do, I am likely no the right person for you. From a developmental model, someone newer to EMDR, may need more guidance and concrete feedback and that still does not discount the value of their intuition and unique experience. This is your journey, and my goal is to meet you where you are at and to help you grow your confidence, widen your skill set and knowledge, and harness what you already have to offer.

“Officially” I charge $100 per one hour consultation, however, I also do not want money to be a barrier to those seeking to learn and grow, so if that doesn’t work, let’s have a discussion and figure out what does. I believe that through consultations, if I can help other therapists develop and grow, they, in turn, can provide better care to their people/clients. Thus, there is a ripple effect of positivity and healing that is sent into world exponentially. This is where my passion lies and my primary motivation.
